Updates about Avemar’s 2023 Summer Refit will be posted shortly, along with photos I’ve made over the past couple of months, like this alligator I saw tonight as the first outer band of Hurricane Idalia passed above the docks.
This is Eddie. Or, at least, that is what I’ve named him.
He likes the shade and sandbar behind the boat.
Here’s Eddie’s girlfriend, Edith (I think).
I honestly can’t tell the difference when they are lurking around Avemar’s bow.
It could be either one. She (or maybe Eddie) swims over daily to say “Hello” around 9 a.m.
There are upgrades and a few rants about the upgrades to tell you about, and I will get back to regular postings along with the ‘Photo Friday’ post with my weekly download of the pictures on my cameras!
I have to say, It’s good to be in a hurricane hole during hurricane season! I hope they let me keep this slip for another 60 days!
New posts are in the works! See you soon!
Cheers.
So glad to know that you're safe and sound in a hurricane hole. We kept Terrapin in the water this summer/fall for the first time in years, in Fishville, Punta Gorda. Thank goodness, worked out just fine through Idalia. We'll be back onboard December 1. CHEERS!
Stay safe!
