This is such a great idea. Wish I was thru hiking this year so I can try it out! Great job, Uncle Bill!

Thanks. One tester downloaded it and 10 minutes later went on her daily walk and is testing it on a loop around her town. :) Hope you are well! I don’t know about you but I had thousands of AT photos and I couldn’t get into editing them so… I decided to edit one day at a time - one year later. Much more fun to look at that many pics and relive the moments one day at a time. I’m posting those as daily notes. I hope I can keep that up on the PCT. I start mid-April.

Oh, that’s a good idea. I’m downloading it now.

I know what you mean about the photos. I’ve gone through them all and picked some standouts for prints and art shows, but still haven’t really dived in to the everyday stuff. My start date anniversary is coming up, so I may start revisiting my journals then. I’ve been enjoying your daily one year ago posts!

After I saw 7 new users this morning I spotted some bugs. One being EVERYONE was in Florida!!! You can keep using the app. I am uploading “v1.1.2 (8) The Approach Trail Stable beta” now and hopefully tomorrow if you open the app, THAT version is the one I’m taking on the PCT!!!

I added more privacy features behind the scenes that also help for battery life, especially on thru-hikes or long hikes too.

I’ve learned so much doing this. It was cool. I may become a stay-at-home (or sea) App Developer!

If you look at TestFlight tomorrow or whenever you open after tomorrow, choose the latest version. It should be 1.1.2 (8).

You can "Add Hike" and then choose the AT and mark it as "Completed" and it shows on your resume. Put in your start/end dates for the calculations to work.
