A couple of months ago, April and I hiked The Foothills Trail for a week in western South Carolina and North Carolina. She just wrote about the trip on her April’s Everyday Adventures site.
I took a cheap plastic camera loaded with black-and-white film on the hike.
It’s a half-frame camera, meaning a 36-exposure roll of film yields 72 images that are 1/2 of the size of a 35mm image. There are no settings on this camera. It’s a point-and-shoot, so you get what you get.
Out of over 700 images, here are a few images of us.
At the top of this page is a tab labeled “Notes,” and I post many photos there daily. I encourage you to check out that section of the site. Last night, I posted photos of a surprise fireworks show, a baby dolphin, the sunset, wild horses, a 161-foot sailboat docked next to Avemar, and more.
Nearly every emotion of our hike is captured in these photos! Thank you, Bill!
These are epic shots, Bill. Monochrome is best at capturing the essence.
