For the past two weeks, Avemar has been anchored in the river off the downtown West Palm Beach public docks. I had never sailed here before. Besides the strong currents in the river, it has been a pleasant stop.
Twice this week, when I was ashore, I walked past the Palm Beach Photographic Centre, which houses a museum and a camera store. Both times, it was after they had closed.
I remember ordering gear from this store many years ago (I think it was a black Domke F-2 bag, which I still own), so I had to make the trip to shore this morning to visit this camera store in person before sailing out of town tomorrow.
Before walking to a “real” old-school downtown camera store, what camera does one choose to make the trip when you have at least a half-dozen choices?
Well, of course, I took my PaperShoot.
Below are a few images from the Papershoot I made on my short walk and dinghy ride.
If you are in the Palm Beach area between January 30 and February 3, the Palm Beach Photographic Centre is hosting the FOTOfusionFestival, the 29th Annual International Festival of Photography and Digital Imaging.
