Poetry takes time to evolve
Sonnets, haiku, villanelles, and rhyme
Each day a puzzle to solve.

Rhyming refining all will resolve
Frustrating at first, you’ll get it in time

Phrasing will often seem to devolve
Watch out for that, add lyrics that climb

If  your words seem to dissolve
Picture a place with a different clime
Poetry takes time to evolve.

When you  get stuck, write with resolve
Day after day it’s just practice, and time

Try and fail often, fans will absolve
Put words on paper, it’s not a crime
